The ritual of tea will continue until April 8th

The appointment with the “Tea of ​​Festivities”, pop-up of the iconic hotel The London Dorchester, initially scheduled until January 7th, will continue every saturday and sunday until Sunday April 8th 2018 as Traditional English “Afternoon Tea” (the menu).
It will be served every day, from 15.00 to 18.00, at the lounge bar La Libreria to offer guests and Roman customers the traditional English tea, enlivened by a live background music.
As usual, the Eden Hotel experience includes a selection of classic sandwiches (for example: smoked salmon with butter and lemon, cucumber and cream cheese with dill and chives), traditional simple scones and raisins sultanina served with the original “clotted cream” and the organic strawberry jam, and finally a refined mignon pastry. The tea card, signed by the historic Florentine excellence “La Via del Tè”, includes 12 prestigious teas from all over the world. In addition, for this special occasion, it will be possible to try “The Dorchester Afternoon Blend”, an exclusive blend of black Orange Pekoe tea from Sri Lanka and Indian black tea Assam, created exclusively for the London hotel. The cost is 38€ (+ 19€ with a flute of Franciacorta, +40€ with a flute of Laurent-Perrier Rosé). The violin will be a musical accompaniment.

Sunday January 21st  brunch returns at the Senses Restaurant

The first brunch of the year is dedicated to the Apulian cuisine. Baked scamorzine, lampascioni in oil and chicory with egg, are just some of the typical delicacies present among the appetizers chosen for the appointment. For pasta lovers, Chef Simone Strano has thought of three dishes: orecchiette with turnip tops and bread with anchovies, cavatelli with baked tomato and cacioricotta, tiella “alla barese” rice, potatoes and mussels. Among the main courses there are also timeless classics from Puglia, such as, for example, octopus in pignata, baked rabbit with potatoes and muscari and broad bean puree with rural chicory. To close the brunch, the typical “pasticciotto leccese”.

January 25th starts the first evening event with a dinner dedicated to Piedmont

At the Crystal Lounge there will be a territorial dinner dedicated to Piedmont. Gourmet creations by Chef Stefano Marzetti will be accompanied with a selection of wines from the Marziano Abbona cellars, carefully selected by Head Sommelier Fabrizio Colaianni (the menu). February 4th restarts Doney Opera Brunch

February 4th the Sunday Brunch will starts again at Restaurant Doney. Every Sunday, from 12.30 to 15.00, during the brunch, there will be performances that will bring on stage the most famous arias of the Italian lyric: from Puccini, to Verdi to Rossini. Some of the most talented masters will be launched in this new adventure, coming from the most important schools and theaters of Rome such as the Accademia di Santa Cecilia and Teatro dell’Opera.
The show will be built on fun flash mobs that will involve the diners.
The buffet is prepared by Executive Chef James Foglieni who, in addition to hot and cold dishes and express pasta, will dedicate a corner to fresh extracts and juices and, for children, simple and tasty recipes. Entertainment and full buffet 48€ per person (drinks included).

Doney Food Festival 2018, from January 29th

Meetings of cultures, recipes and distant traditions, this is the Doney Food Festival, a calendar of international food and wine events that Doney Restaurant is preparing to host in exclusive collaboration with the Embassies of India, Sri Lanka, France and Argentina.
From January 29 to February 2, the Indian food festival will inaugurate the festival, both for lunch and dinner.
From 10 to 15 February it will be the turn of Sri Lanka, during which we will also witness musical performances and traditional dances.
The event includes the collaboration of international chefs who will work to create dishes typical of their culture under the supervision of Executive Chef James Foglieni.
