Cool Mid-August on the rooftop
To celebrate August the 15th, Hotel Eden propose a cocktail signature created for the hottest day of the year by Bar Manager Gabriele Rizzi – “The Pink Thing” based on watermelon -, and a light one and tasty “Avocado soup with prawns” created by the Executive Chef Fabio Ciervo.
Hotel Eden and Campomarzio70, point of reference for lovers of artistic perfumery and research, have inaugurate the “Fragrance Bar”. Until December 31st 2018, at the lounge bar La Libreria, an original sensory experience will make taste and smell protagonists of a stimulating journey made unique thanks to the cocktails designed for the occasion by Bar Manager of Hotel Eden Gabriele Rizzi, inspired by a selection of exclusive fragrances suggested by Campomarzio70.
Bar Manager has created nine cocktails, each inspired by the same number of perfumes proposed by Campomarzio70. To each fragrance corresponds a plaster sculpture that represents it. Enclosed in elegant glass cloche, the sculptures will be revealed 3 at a time – in parallel to the cocktails gradually presented – respecting the cycle of the seasons: spring, summer and autumn.
Initially, to celebrate the spring season and announce the first 3 cocktails, will be exhibited 3 glass cloche containing as many sculptures, decorated with fresh floral decorations and with the primary elements that make up the base of each of the 3 different fragrances. The compositions will be flanked by a precious container of perfume, whose label will not include the real name but that of the drink inspired by the fragrance. This is where the sense of taste comes into play. By choosing the preferred essence, the combined cocktail will be suggested, or the other way. At the end of the experience, the guest will receive a free sample of the chosen perfume, whose name will remain secret and will be unveiled only showing it at one of the Campomarzio70 boutiques present throughout Italy (Rome, Milan, Cortina, Ravenna, Forte dei Marmi , Florence, Porto Cervo, Naples, Cagliari).

The new for this summer 2018, in line with the increasingly oriented requests for multi-ethnic gastronomy, is the menu of traditional Arabic cuisine, available at the Restaurant Uliveto and Room Service. The project, strongly desired by Fabio Boschero Chef, has been realized with four hands, and sees the involvement of Abdulkader Yamout, Chef of long and consolidated experience in the Arab world. Born in Beirut and trained professionally in Lebanon he began his career in 1978 at “Le Bristol Beirut”, and since then he has gained 40 years of experience in Arab and Mediterranean cuisine working in hotel chains – such as the Plaza and the Sheraton – and at important catering companies. He currently serves as Executive Chef at the Hilton Kuwait Resort. The result of this interaction is a varied, rigorous and traditional menu, made of carefully selected raw materials, processed according to the ancient oriental dictates for a food that is exotic, contemporary and ancient at the same time. It’s an extraordinary occasion to taste the delights of the Middle East, such as Hummus, Tabouleh, lamb or chicken kebabs, or legendary desserts like Umm Ali – the puff pastry cake with almonds and raisins served hot – or the fresh Muhallabia – Milk pudding with Rose water and Chio tears.

Spring is one of the best times of year to visit Rome, with blooming flowers found all around the city and Spanish steps. Guests staying in the top suites can embark on a Spring Blossom tour with a private visit to the Vatican Gardens or the Pope’s summer Residence, the gardens of Castel Gandolfo. The tour also includes a private yoga session overlooking the Eternal City, to ease the body and mind. Set in 15 acres of private parkland, guests also have access to a private Cabana in the park with champagne and an 80-minute couple’s massage.

Rome Cavalieri has launched a January Detox with its spa partner Aromatherapy Associates for those looking to cleanse their bodies after the post-Christmas indulgence. Guests will receive a reviving 60-minute treatment from Aromatherapy Associates to awaken the senses and restore the skin’s natural glow, along with two personal training sessions.
